On Monday, Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest volcano became active. On Tuesday, skiers on the Italian peak got a rare opportunity to ski down an active volcano after authorities on the island of Sicily, where Mount Etna is located, declared that the latest eruption posed no further threat to nearby towns.
