Ever sit around on a Friday night wanting to chill and watch a shred flick with your friends instead of pounding shot skis at the bar? Of course you haven’t but if you ever did– simply log into SlipStream and let the drooling commence.

Slipstream puts all the adrenaline-filled, outdoor stoke you could want in one place for just $4.99/month. The site includes hundreds of action sports films with categories such as surfing, snow sports, rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, running, environmental documentaries and festival winners.

The idea was cultivated by a group of outdoor-loving techies in Vancouver who felt the outdoor community was ready for something new. “We’re constantly inspired by these films but realized there wasn’t anywhere to find them all on one place, so we designed a place where filmmakers can reach new audiences and monetize in a meaningful way” says Keegan McColl, Slipstream co-founder.

Storytelling is a big part of the outdoor community and Slipstream has done a great job uniting athletes and filmmakers with their audience. With 70% of monthly revenue allocated for content creators, Slipstream cuts out the middleman and puts filmmakers first so they can continue doing what they do best.

“Feedback has been amazing so far. We’ve hi-fived as some of our heroes like Chris Burkard, Hazel Findlay & Xavier de le Rue have signed up.” Ultimately, McColl and his team have created a one-stop-shop for adventurers from all over the world to connect and share their stories. The site became available to the public this week after five months of production.

*Subscribers pay $4.99 per month for unlimited access and can watch from anywhere on a desktop, Smart TV, mobile or tablet.
