Open Wall-to-Wall with all of its 121 trails currently open, Crested Butte is having a ski season that will be remembered for decades to come.

Even some of the oldest locals are claiming that this might be the best season they’ve seen in their lifetime. “Due to all of the snow that we’ve received this season thus far and the consistent storms that have been hitting the ‘refresh’ button, the mountain has remained soft all year,” Assistant Mountain Manager, Mark Voegeli told Unofficial Networks.

And that’s no surprise as resort officials recently opened The Peak, Third Bowl, and Teocalli 2 Bowl– creating the biggest terrain offering in the resort’s history since the inception of Teo 2 Bowl during the 14/15 season.

The best part about all that open terrain? The resort boasts a naturally divided ski domain that allows for experts to ski expert terrain while intermediates to ski intermediate terrain. The result is a free-flowing ski experience for both destination skiers and dirtbags alike.

Bottomline, finding a reason to visit Crested Butte this season is not a brain buster. Whether it’s the unprecedented snowfall, ridiculous terrain, or simply a carnitas taco from Teocalli Tamale, the reasons to ski Crested Butte this year are virtually endless.
