Heartbreaking news from Winter Park, Colorado, a 17 year old girl died yesterday after crashing into a tree on Forget-Me-Not, an intermediate trail in Parsenn Bowl, around 12:30 p.m.

Fox 31 Denver is reporting ski patrol transported her to the emergency room at the base of the mountain but she did not survive her injuries. No one else was involved in the crash and the girl has not been identified.

Our hearts go out to the girl’s friends and family.  This is terribly tragic and we echo Winter Park’s sentiments:

“Winter Park Resort extends its deepest condolences to the woman’s family in the wake of this tragic accident.”
