The snow at the site of the catastrophic avalanche that leveled a hotel in the Italian alps on 18 January has receded somewhat, revealing the true scale of destruction that left 29 dead in its wake.  According to Sky News the central Italian avalanche buried the hotel under 60,000 tons of snow.  The video shows crushed, overturned cars and the tangled remains of the building in Farindola, Abruzzo.
