Whatever the case, this newly revived method of transportation is being treated as a priceless commodity by Denver skiers and riders tired of the I-70 shuffle. According to The Denver Post, 15,000 passengers have utilized the line to visit Winter Park since the line debuted on January 7th. An Amtrak Spokesman, Marc Magliardi described the passenger population as exceeding initial expectations.

“[The response] has given us several ideas to consider for next year too,” Magliardi told The Denver Post. Some are speculating that his statement means Amtrak will increase the line’s frequency in addition to marketing the ‘Ski Train’ product like never before. Prices for a one way booking range between $39-59.
