With a 340-inch base at the top of the mountain and 178 inches at Main Lodge, Mammoth Mountain operators made an early call that snowboarding and skiing will go well into summer.

The Orange County Register is reporting Mammoth will be running its lifts until July 4th 2017. The LA Times reports that the last time the resort was open until July 4 was the season of 2010-2011.  Snow totals that year were just under 56 feet.

With more storms on the way for California, Mammoth might just be skiable through the dog days of summer. screen-shot-2017-02-14-at-10-55-33-am
