A man from South Dakota’s Black Hills survived a massive fall from a chairlift at Terry Peak Ski Area reports KOTA Territory News.

The victim has since been identified as Drew Stephens. Stephens is known throughout the Black Hills community as a kind and giving outdoorsmen. So far, twenty some businesses have offered up auction items and/or donations to help Stephens pay a portion of his mounting medical bills.

*A benefit will be held for the victim at Lost Cabin Beer Company from 3-10pm on Valentines Day.
