Lindsey Vonn is a big fan of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee.
The course in Austria is not only where Vonn broke Anna Marie M. Pröll’s record for most downhill world cup wins but the track itself is primed for athlete’s on the comeback trail. With that in mind, Vonn has since told Eurosport that her first race of the season will be there– this weekend.
The return to competition comes after Vonn broke her right arm while training @CopperMountain in Colorado back in November. So in order to make up the time lost, Vonn endured a grueling 3-month PT program so she could get back to chipping away at Ingmar Stenmark’s all-time record of 86 career world cup wins. Vonn currently has 76 wins under her belt.
