Alpine Meadows resident Siig Stevens got quite a surprise yesterday when a planned avalanche set off by Alpine Meadows ski patrol broke through his front door. Glad Siig and his family are okay and work very tightly with ski patrol as their home is in an avalanche zone. This is the third time in 12 years their house has been hit with an avalanche.
Tahoe is down right dangerous right now, The Sierra Avalanche Center is advising residents not to leave their homes but sometimes even that is not enough . Stay safe Tahoe and only travel with extreme caution.
