extendedseasonfinalfinal“We’ve received more than 13 feet of snow in December and January, the second highest combined total ever for those two months. With such an impressive and historic amount of snowfall at Keystone, we are delighted to extend our season through Easter.” -Keystone COO & Vice President Mike Goar

Great news for all you Keystone skier and snowboards, after record breaking snow accumulation in December and January the resort is already extending its official season by a week. It might be viewed as somewhat of a marketing ploy to announce a season extension this early but it will make you smile if you bought a season pass.

This is the official press release from Keystone’s website:

“With nearly 16 feet of snow so far this season – the snowiest winter at Keystone Resort in at least 10 years – the resort announced today that it will extend the season by one week to Easter Sunday, April 16. Following the third snowiest December in Keystone’s history with 81 inches or nearly seven feet, the resort has already received another 81 inches of snow this month alone with a week still remaining before February arrives. This marks the first time in resort history that Keystone has received 80 inches or more of snow in back-to-back months. The extended season will be a great way for us to thank our loyal passholders, our local community, and our destination visitors who will now have the opportunity to spend Easter on the slopes at Keystone.” family_kidgondola
