Sitting under dominant high pressure system, skiers and snowboarders across the west are getting a much needed break from non-stop powder skiing that has thus far defined the 2016/2017 ski season.

Most notably, California is clawing its way out of “Extreme” drought conditions with one ski area reporting a summit snow depth of 300″! And California isn’t the only state reaping Ullr’ favoritism. Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and Oregon are all boasting crazy snowpacks that have us asking, “will this be the biggest year for the west since the epic 2010/2011 season?” Only time will tell…
