While the majority of winter weather moves out of Colorado, Silverton Mountain continues to get crushed!

A winter storm warning remains in effect for portions of the southern San Juans with a bullseye on Silverton Mountain. NOAA models are forecasting up to 14 inches of snow by 5pm on Saturday before a series of light snow storms keep things fresh through the long weekend. So if booking a last minute weekend trip is a possibility, it’s a good time to make that trip happen.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION…10 TO 14 INCHES TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION.

* WINDS…SOUTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* IMPACTS…HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO SLICK AND SNOWPACKED ROADS WITH PERIODS OF SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
