The incident, which occurred at roughly 2pm on Sunday, involved 45 year-old Richard Glade and a partner he met while riding on the chairlift. The two were skiing through deep powder in the trees when Glade’s impromptu ski partner witnessed the middle aged man fall into a tree well. He yelled for help and was assisted by two others in extracting Glade from the tree well. They performed CPR on the victim but were unsuccessful in their efforts.
