New England Powder Alert

Significant storm is going to impact New England today through Friday. Good Westerly flow will push light to moderate snow into the Berkshires and most of Western NY early this morning (Snowing currently). Moderate snow will be found in those areas by this afternoon (5-10). Heavier snow will break out over southern New Hampshire and Vermont late this morning with light or moderate snow likely near Burlington. The chase for the deepest powder might include resorts near North Conway, central or northern Maine and perhaps central or southern Vermont (11-17). We like the prospects of Waterville Valley, Loon, Wildcat, Attitash, Sunday River, Sugarloaf and perhaps most resorts in southern Vermont (Less snow but still respectable). Northern Vermont will still see decent snowfall (6-10). Northern Vermont grabs a secondary system on Friday that will enhance some snow showers near Stowe or areas north (Additional 2-4) which will keep things “Fresh” into Friday.

In the Rockies expect a moderate system to move into the 4 corners late Thursday. Another system will race down the western coastline this weekend and bring some snow back to the Sierra eventually seeing decent numbers over the 4 corners again early next week.
