According to a press release from the joint venture, the purchase includes “all remaining development parcels and commercial spaces in base village, the Snowmass Hospitality property management company and the Viceroy Hotel, including the unsold condominium units within the Viceroy.”

“East West has been pursuing this project for many years so it is extremely exciting for this opportunity to finally come to fruition with the help of our partners at Aspen Skiing Company and KSL Capital.” – Craig Ferraro, East West managing partner

Construction is set to start during the spring of 2017 and will include finishing what they refer to as, “the partially complete base village core.” Included in the project plans are an outdoor ice rink/plaza, a Snowmass-based Limelight Hotel, and a new community building. East West will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations throughout the base area’s development period.
