Verbier’s official opening weekend was met with 1,200 skiers donning red suits and beards according to thelocal.ch.  Participants got a free lift ticket for the day and also free travel on a special ‘St Nicholas’ train from Geneva if they booked in advance. Free wine, croissants and raclette were provided throughout the day, as well as a drawing win a season pass.

It’s the third year of the event and there were nearly twice as many Saint Nicks than last year. At 3pm all the Santas gathered for group video filmed by a drone while they danced to the Village People’s YMCA. Euro Amazingness.
