Turns out, 60 Whistler Blackcomb employees are no longer vital to operations at the premiere BC ski resort since others are already doing those jobs out of the Vail HQ in Broomfield, CO reports the Whistler Question. Those layoffs will occur in departments such as accounting, marketing, IT, and sales. The cut backs even go so far as to include senior executives in finance and marketing.

The cuts will conclude in May of 2017 but Vail Resorts is saying that those leaving their positions could possibly find new roles at other Vail Resorts or at the Vail Headquarters.
