While North America waits for the snow to fall, the alps are rearing to go with many resorts opening this weekend.

From Les Grand Montets to lift serviced, top-to-bottom descents @Hintertux, the ski season is ramping up for our friends across the pond. So far, Unofficial has confirmed over 15 major ski resorts will be spinning lifts this weekend for snow hungry Euros. Chamonix locals are even going as far as to say that this is the best early season they’ve seen since 2012.

Also, a second storm is set to hit the alps this weekend that should cement this early season snow cover for the rest of the season– fingers crossed.
