Finally, winter is making its highly anticipated return to the Tetons, which are currently under a Winter Weather Advisory until Thursday afternoon reports NOAA.

The Unofficial Pow: 10-15″ of Snow For Cascades | 6-12″ For Southern Montana

As of this morning, Grand Targhee is forecasted to receive up to a 12″ at its higher elevations, while Jackson Hole looks to nab somewhere around 10″ worth of fresh. Either way, the return of winter has Jackson and Teton Valley locals fired up for the upcoming season.

TETON AND GROS VENTRE MOUNTAINS-358 AM MST WED NOV 16 2016 …WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MST THURSDAY…

* TIMING…PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BREAKOUT THIS MORNING…AND THEN CONTINUE THROUGH MIDDAY THURSDAY.

* SNOWFALL TOTALS…5 TO 10 INCHES.

* VISIBILITY AND WIND…SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH…SHIFTING TO THE NORTH THIS EVENING. VISIBILITY WILL BE DOWN TO A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* MAIN IMPACT…TETON AND TOGWOTEE MOUNTAIN PASSES WILL BE BECOME SLICK AND SNOW COVERED MAKING TRAVEL POSSIBLY DIFFICULT AT TIMES.
