After seeing some of the best early season powder days in recent memory, Grand Targhee has since been plagued by warm temperatures that are forcing resort officials to reconsider opening day.

According to the Grand Targhee Resort website, the Wydaho ski area is pushing back opening day indefinitely until conditions allow.

“Opening day for the 2016/17 Ski Season is delayed and TBD until conditions allow. Stay tuned for updates.” – Grand Targhee 

NOAA is currently predicting temps to drop across the west later this week and if temps stay low, an opening day announcement could come shortly after.
