Starting on Thanksgiving day, Aspen Skiing Company announced they will be giving away free meals to employees who haven’t been able to get to work due to low snow conditions. The meals will be offered at Bumps restaurant at the base of Buttermilk from 5-7pm on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s.

“[The meal plan] is intended for seasonal workers and people who would be getting hours now, like lifties.” – Jeff Hanle, Aspen Skico Spokesperson (*Quote courtesy of the Aspen Times)

This would be the second time the Skico has offered employee meals for out of a weather delayed workforce. The first instance occurred during the unusually dry 2007/2008 ski season, when skico fed 40 out of work resort employees.
