Way to go Mikaela!  Ms. Shiffrin extended her winning streak in World Cup Slalom to 10 straight victories over the weekend in Killington, Vermont. She edged out Veronika Velez Zuzulova and Wendy Holdener to get the top spot on the podium.

The Boston Globe spoke with Mikaela and she had an unexpected highlight from the weekend:

“The most proud I’ve ever been is to win a race in front of my nana, and the best part about it is she doesn’t care whether I win or lose.”

Mikaela’s grandmother does not travel to other races but was able to be in the crowd in Vermont. Special day for both of them.
