The most successful Slovenian skier in the history is calling it quits after taking a year off to write a children’s book, model, and obtain a degree in education.

According to SkiRacing.com, Tina Maze will appear one last time in early January before a hometown crowd in Maribor, Slovenia before ending her ski racing career. After her final trip down the course, Maze plans on becoming a school teacher in addition to making appearances with EuroSport, covering World Cup races.

Maze competed in the FIS World Cup for 15 seasons, pulling down 26 individual wins including an overall World Cup title for the 2012-2013 season.
