montana snowbowl“It’s gonna stop us for this project, in fact, after Tuesday, we’re just putting the project on hold for this season. It’s just getting too wet and muddy” -Snowbowl Resort Manager Pat McKay

Looks like the folks looking forward to riding Snowbowl Resort’s newest lift accessing new beginner and intermediate level ski runs will have to wait until the 2017/2018 season.

The Montana resort has postponed completion of their lift install due to wet weather leading to muddy conditions according to KULR 8 News.  Heavily saturated grounds have created problems getting equipment on scene and the concrete they need to pour may not dry in time due to the wet conditions so they have pulled the plug on the project for this season.  The project is scheduled to resume May 2017 weather permitting.

Resort manager, Pat McKay, had this to say about what skier’s can expect upon the new lift’s completion:

“Next year it’s definitely going to be up and running. There’ s going to be some good skiing back there for those people that like to hike, because we cut a bunch of the ski runs so it’s going to be skiable for the hikers, there will be those who are like ‘yes!!’montana snowbowl
