According to the news source, resort officials broke ground today on the construction of 18 housing units located near the base of the South Quad. Ultimately, the plan includes 108 units but the first phase will start slow before the resort adds additional condos included in the master plan. That plan is being likened to a complete overhaul of the base village and will likely take somewhere between six and seven years. However, the first 18 units should be ready by the 2017/2018 ski season.

Development Stats

  • Phase 1 – 18 condos
  • 108 units total
  • Should employ approximately 50 local laborers
  • Go from 25,000 – 45,000 sq. ft lodge

Prior to the following developments, Tyler and Brian Fairbank invested nearly $10 million on their operations– updating lifts, enhancing snowmaking systems, and adding a learning center. Now the focus will move to the resort’s base real estate.
