An iconic sandstone pedestal known as “The Duckbill” was senselessly vandalized by a group of 8 knuckleheads who claimed the fragile formation caused their friend to break his leg and it was a safety hazard and they were “Doing the world and Oregon a favor by knocking it over” according to katu.com.

The area near Cape Kiwanda has since been roped off to visitors. The person who filmed it did not the vandals and they are still at large.
