11 year old Jack Clulee has the staff at Mt. Hutt in New Zealand to thank for his soft landing after a slip left him dangling meters off the ground hanging from a chairlift (the boy tried to sit down too early and slipped off the seat during loading).

Mt. Hutt Resort personal acted quickly, using a pad wrapped around a chairlift pole as an improvised safety net to save the boy according to stuff.co.  He was shaken up by the incident but after 30 minutes, he “bounced back” and was able to enjoy the rest of his day skiing.

Hats off to resort workers around the world for going above and beyond their job descriptions. Great work Mt. Hutt Staff!
