After 24 years of hard work using nothing but a handsaw and hammer, Catherine King and Wayne Adams can call this floating island home.

Located in Clayoquot Sound, which Adams refers to as the richest biomass on earth, Adams and King have created a fully sustainable, man-made island that is free of all the burdens of modern society. Needless to say, it looks as though the off-the-grid lifestyle is working for these two.
