Today hockey legend Gordie Howe, also known as “Mr. Hockey” passed away at the age of 88. Howe’s epic career included 4 Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings and 801 career goals.
That number would ultimately be broken by Wayne Gretzky, who wore 99 in honor of Howe, who wore 9.
