A hiker who lost her footing above a cliff near Cecret Lake at Alta Ski Area has been identified as 21 year-old, Marie Caseiro of New Jersey.
According to KSL.com, Caseiro told friends she was going for a hike after work on Tuesday and when she failed to return, her boyfriend called local authorities. A search was quickly initiated and a helicopter located Caseiro’s body on Wednesday. Reports indicate she likely slipped on snow before falling off a 100 foot cliff to her death.
