After becoming trapped on an exposed ledge on the side of Les Droites in the French Alps in 1999, Jamie Andrew watched as his friend died after succumbing to the elements and suffered such severe frostbite himself that he required quadruple amputation.

In a quest to push the boundaries in memory of his friend he left behind his wife and three young children to attempt to conquer the Matterhorn without the benefit of arms or legs. This is is story.
