How bad do you want to give this thing a go? This lady lost her mind in under a minute. Really cool that it tracks your breathing so you see your breath in the virtual cold air. Would love to see these things in bars with famous lines preprogrammed so you could virtually ski places you have never been:
“This is Ski Rodeo, a Namco Bandai VR ski simulator powered by the HTC Vive. The game tracks your breathing and draws the mist, while foot motors and piston emulates the rough mountain terrain. The combination of the two is very effective in simulating a real ski experience, as it scares you death if you miss a cliff jump and plummet down a ravine or face-first into a boulder. Special thanks to Yuki Nakae of Toho Entertainment for letting us film her freak-out session. This tech demo is not a commercial game yet, but is available for consumer preview at “VR Zone: Project i Can” in Odaiba’s Diver City Tokyo Plaza through October.”
