After a slew of questions followed Picabo Street‘s violent encounter with her father on December 23rd, answers are finally emerging.

According to an article by USA Today, the Utah-based prosecution team is moving to drop assault and domestic violence charges aimed at the former ski racer following testimonies and evidence that indicate a lack of support for the allegations in question.

“The Prosecutors just didn’t have any real evidence to support their charges, and I had very powerful evidence proving that Picabo was just trying to manage her family when her father became combative and she acted reasonably in defending herself.”Joseph Wrona, Picabo Street’s Lawyer

Originally, prosecutors accused Street of assaulting her 73 year-old father after Roland Street crashed his car into the ski racer’s house while backing out of the driveway in snowy conditions. A verbal confrontation ensued and according to Street, she was forced to lock him in the basement because he was acting disorderly.
