According to NOAA, an incoming Blizzard is about to crush the Front Range of Colorado. So far, snowfall projections have the Denver metropolitan area set to receive up to 14″ in a 24 hour period.
While the blizzard’s effects will mainly be seen in the areas east of downtown Denver, forecasts are also calling for significant snowfall in the mountains. Loveland Pass is currently projected to receive a fresh foot of snow by Thursday morning!
However, the winner seems to be Steamboat, where current models are projecting the northern Colorado ski area to receive up to 22″ from this storm alone.
The Top 5 Projected Snowfall Totals
Steamboat Springs – 22″
Vail / Beaver Creek – 14″
Loveland Ski Area – 12″Â
Arapahoe Basin – 12″
Eldora – 11″
