I like how the device has a simple built-in OLED display so all you have to do is glance at your ski to get realtime metrics. Hopefully this gets funded because I think its a step in the right direction.

One unexpected value of the information gathered by the Pomocup is in avalanche prediction:
“When we spoke with mountain guides, they told us avalanche safety is critical for them. In order to help them judge the risk of the slope, we combine the mountain slope angle with air temperature to bring metrics to those “judgment calls”. Mountain guides really like the pedagogic use of the Pomocup.”
You can get another cool little tidbit of info if you use two Pomocups (one on each ski)….stride symmetry. Now that is some next level intel.
