Snow squalls could bring as much as 6″ of snow to the peaks of northern Vermont by Tuesday. The squalls began today bringing some much needed snow to the Green Mountains. Temps well below freezing will also allow the resort to fire up the snowmaking guns to build upon their modest bases.

Arctic cold front brings snow squalls this afternoon, and a “flash freeze” this evening as any melted snow refreezes on surfaces while temperatures plummet. Snow accumulation 1-2″ valleys and 2-4″ in the mountains, but hazard for VT & NY motorists with icy roads expected and brief periods of near zero visibility in snow squall activity. Reduce speed and allow extra travel time this afternoon through this evening.” – NOAA Burlington, VT
