News of a tragic accident is coming out of Japan.

On an overnight ski trip, a bus full of skiers and snowboarders headed for the Japanese ski area of Kita Shiga swerved into the oncoming lane, subsequently banged into a guard rail, and dropped off a small cliff near Nagano. So far reports indicate that 14 passengers aboard the bus are dead and another 27 have been injured. The road was free of snow and ice at the time of the accident.

Most of the people on the bus were aged between 18 and 20 and the service was being operated by Keyth Tour out of Tokyo.

According to ABC News, Chief Secretary Yoshihide Suga is indicating that the transportation ministry is investigating into what exactly caused the accident.
