UnofficialNetworks.com was founded by two brothers, Tim and John Konrad, in the basement of a home in Squaw Valley, CA during the fall of 2006. The original idea behind the blog was to build a digital publication that provided the latest mountain sports news, photos, videos and general content.

Since the launch of UnofficialNetworks.com the website has served over 80 million pageviews and has been linked to by numerous publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, ESPN and many others.

Unofficial Networks has gained traction within the digital world because it captures the spirit of adventure, fun, excitement, awe, and freedom. It is a website where people go to escape, be entertained, gather information, learn about ski destinations, and stay abreast of the latest mountain news.
