Bretton Woods is now a piece of Omni’s international resort and hotel puzzle.

Founded in 1973, Bretton Woods Ski Area is currently the largest ski area in New Hampshire and offers skiers 464 acres of skiable terrain on 1,500 vertical feet. The deal was announced on Tuesday and as of now the terms and conditions remain undisclosed reports New Hampshire’s Union Leader.

“The property is among the most storied landmarks in the country and fits perfectly into our growing resort portfolio. We look forward to preserving The Omni Mount Washington Resort’s rich history and enhancing its legacy as the originator of the great American destination vacation.”- President of Omni Resorts and Hotels, Mike Deitemeyer

Omni Resorts works in conjunction with Robert Rowling, who owns TRT Holdings. Rowling said in a letter to Mount Washington and Bretton Woods employees that he is “anxious to understand the expansion opportunity and to move forward with those plans.” So far, what Rowling means by ‘expansion’ is still unclear.

Surrounded by the Mount Washington National Forest, Bretton Woods is located in some of the most pristine landscape in all of New England and benefits annually from upslope storm activity of its nearby neighbor and highest peak in New England, Mt. Washington.
