Big ol’ fat flakes are currently falling on Jay Peak today, breaking a ridiculously long Indian summer in the northeast.
So far forecasts are calling for up to 9” and although it’s a modest amount, the pictures say otherwise for Vermont’s leader in annual snowfall.
Here’s the report from Jay Peak today:
It’s been snowing on the mountain since our first cup of coffee and still coming down. We’ve picked up 3-5” of accumulation thus far and looks like we could see close to (hopefully more) half-a-foot by end of day.
In case you’re like us and can’t contain the excitement for snow, start drafting up a good sick-day excuse and join us for first chair on the Jet Triple tomorrow at 9:00AM. The Jet will be spinning until 4:00PM tomorrow, providing access to The Jet trail, Haynes and Mont L’ Entrepide.
Lift tickets, in case you need one, are $49 for adults (ages 19+) and $39 for juniors (ages 6-18) and can be purchased at both Stateside and Tramside Customer Service locations.
