With steady snow showers expected to move into the Lake Tahoe region on Saturday, many Tahoe resorts are likely to surpass their peak snowpacks from last year.

According to the graph above, the Tahoe Basin has already surpassed the average snowpack peak for the 2014/2015 season and the Truckee Basin is close behind. Meanwhile in Nevada, some snowpacks of the Silver State are close to surpassing the 200% mark when compared to their normal average for this time of year.

In the meantime, Tahoe is at 120% of their average snowpack and that number might grow after a weekend of snow showers.
