whistler conditions report

A series of pacific weather systems are expected to impact Whistler over the next 7 days. The first system will start tonight bring moderate snowfall. Then on Friday another well organized system is expected to push across the region bringing winds and more snow accumulations to the mountains.

Snowfall amounts are all over the place with Onthesnow.com forecasting 115″Snow-forecast.com forecasting 81″ and  Mountainwatch.com forecasting 92″ of snow in the next 7 days. One thing is clear, Whistler is about to get walloped.

Days 0-3 Weather Summary:

A heavy fall of snow, heaviest during Thu afternoon. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 28°F on Wed night, min 16°F on Thu night). Winds decreasing (near gales from the SSE on Thu afternoon, light winds from the SW by Thu night).

Days 4-6 Weather Summary:

A heavy fall of snow, heaviest during Sat afternoon. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 27°F on Mon night, min 21°F on Sat morning). Winds decreasing (strong winds from the SSE on Sat morning, light winds from the WSW by Mon afternoon).

Days 7-9 Weather Summary:

A heavy fall of snow, heaviest during Tue night. Freeze-thaw conditions (max 34°F on Tue night, min 16°F on Wed night). Winds decreasing (gales from the SSW on Tue night, light winds from the WSW by Wed night).
