Martin Litton was a badass plain and simple. He was a close friend of Edward Abbey and served as the Grand Canyon’s grizzled godfather and protector for years before passing away in 2014.

This film remembers his days of exploring the river and his subsequent service to conservation starting in the 60’s.

However, the legacy lives on through those brave enough to row dories down the canyon as does his spirited commitment to keeping the wild places of America just that– wild.
