Thanks to a great preseason that has already drop feet of snow on the Sierra Nevada, Alpine Meadows will be opening this Thursday (Nov 12th) and Squaw Valley opening on Saturday (Nov 14th).
This is a full month earlier than the resorts scheduled openings!

Operations Schedule
- Kangaroo Chairlift opening at 9am on November 12, 2015
- Limited food & beverage at Alpine Meadows Lodge
- Ski & snowboard lessons not available
All operations are weather and conditions permitting
Squaw’s base is reported to be 23″ right now after 19″ of new snow in the past 7 days. The storm hitting right now if forecast to drop 8-16″ of snow on Squaw and Alpine. Cold temps this week will allow the resorts to operate their snowmaking which should add nicely to the base layer.
