The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is forecasting 12-25″ of snowfall at the higher elevations of the Jackson Hole Area between now and Tuesday. This will add to the snow Jackson received on Thursday night.

MONDAY…CHANCES FOR LIGHT SNOWFALL CONTINUE WEST OF THE DIVIDE DURING THE DAY…PARTICULARLY FROM THE TETONS NORTHWARD…INCREASING SLIGHTLY OVERNIGHT.

TUESDAY…PERIODS OF SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES…POSSIBLE ACROSS WESTERN WYOMING AND ALONG THE CODY FOOTHILLS.

DEEPENING PACIFIC TROUGH WILL BE APPROACHING THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS THROUGH EARLY THIS WEEK. THIS WEATHER SYSTEM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE THE FIRST ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL OVER THE WEST MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE QUITE POSSIBLE WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. HUNTERS AND OTHER OUTDOOR INTERESTS SHOULD PREPARE FOR A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO MORE WINTER LIKE CONDITIONS DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
