The World Ski Awards think so.

The gathering of industry professionals got together and awarded the host resort of Kitzbühel the honor of “World’s Leading Ski Resort.”

The voting process, which included a record shattering number of cast ballots from “ski tourism professionals” in addition to “ski consumers from around the world,” (whatever that means) resulted in Kitzbühel taking home the award.

Kitzbühel is most notably the home of the most iconic donwnhill race course in the world known as the “Streif.” But it’s not just the partying and speed that Kitzbühel has in spaids. The Austrian resort is also home to some of the best backcountry runs in the world as well as a plethora of parks and jib features throughout the resort.
