Ever since Rick Howell left his post as President and CEO of Kneebinding, he’s had some choice words for the proprietors of the binding he once helped to create. Turns out, those words are putting Howell in hot water.

Back in 2008, Howell signed a severance agreement that essentially disallowed him from speaking about the company as well as his invention. However, Howell isn’t sticking to that agreemement reports the The Stowe Reporter. And by doing so, Howell spent some time in court this week for crafting inflammatory comments and posts on Epicski.com, as well as publically ripping the binding company based in Stowe, Vermont.

In one of his posts on Epicski.com, Howell even relates his plight to that of Martin Luther King Jr!

However, the current Kneebinding President and CEO John Springer-Miller isn’t taking too kindly to statements like “KNEEBINDING SKI BINDINGS ARE 100% DEFECTIVE,” which was displayed on a picket carried by Howell a few years back.

In addition to that claim, Howell has made claims against the current CEO, saying that he was “squeezed” of the company and that Springer-Miller has anti-christian tendencies.

The civil suit could stretch into December.
