Blackcomb Mountain opened for the season on Thursday November 26th,  joining Whistler Mountain which has been open for a week now. Opening day featured sunny skies, a slight temperature inversion and amazing early season conditions. The Blackcomb terrain park was in incredible shape (video below), and the stoke factor was high.

Thanks to help from mother nature and hard work from our operations teams the Peak Chair on Whistler Mountain opened for the season on Friday November 27th, providing access to the high alpine on Whistler Mountain. A few images from yesterday’s Peak Chair opening can be found below.

Thanks to the cooler temperature Whistler Blackcomb experienced this week at lower elevations, our snowmaking team have cranked out production, which has allowed skiing and riding right down to the valley on Whistler Mountain via Upper/Lower Olympic run. Things are not far off being able to ski to Blackcomb Base as well.

There is another storm cycle in the forecast for next week that should provide for some great conditions to kick of the month of December.
