In what might be the sickest kicks of the year, New Balance just released its 996 Distinct Retro Ski shoes this past year and they look awesome.
In this throwback design, the designers from New Balance incorporated retro ski elements such as wooden skis, leather boots, and old school ski sweaters into the overall aesthetic scheme and the result is après ski style perfection.
Although pricey, the shoes themselves look like they could last through a few seasons of trudging through powder filled parking lots on the way to the mountain.
